Epoch is a timer. You tell it when one of your AI tools comes back, and it makes that moment impossible to miss — on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island, on the Home Screen. It does not watch your usage, and it is not connected to any AI provider. Every timer is one you set.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Shaping Edge ("we", "us") covering the Epoch — AI Reset Timer iOS app and everything in it ("Epoch"). By downloading or using Epoch you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Epoch.
These Terms supplement Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. Where the two conflict on a point Apple requires, Apple's terms govern that point.
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Epoch on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code of Epoch, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
Epoch is licensed, not sold. We keep all rights not expressly granted here, including all intellectual property in the app, its design and its content.
This section matters more than it looks, and it is the reason Epoch is built the way it is.
Do not rely on Epoch for anything time-critical, safety-critical, medical or financial. It is a convenience for managing your own working rhythm, and nothing more.
Epoch is free to download. A free tier is fully usable. Optional paid plans ("Epoch Pro") unlock additional features, which are described in the app before you buy.
Prices are shown in the app before purchase, in your local currency, and are set per storefront. The price displayed at the moment of purchase is the price that applies.
All purchases are handled by Apple, and refunds are at Apple's discretion under the App Store Terms of Service. We cannot issue, reverse or expedite a refund. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
If a subscription lapses or a purchase is refunded, Pro features stop being available. Your timers are not deleted, stopped or hidden. Presentational extras such as a paid theme, brand colours or an alternative app icon revert to the free defaults.
Use Epoch lawfully. Do not attempt to interfere with its operation or security, circumvent the paid tier, use it to violate anyone else's rights, or use any automated means to disrupt the services it depends on.
Epoch refers to third-party AI products by name so you can tell your timers apart. Those names and marks belong to their owners. Epoch is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or connected to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Cursor or any other provider, and no such relationship should be inferred from a name appearing in a list.
We may add, change or remove features, and may update these Terms. When we update them, the version at this address changes with a new date. Continuing to use Epoch after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not, stop using the app; if you hold an active subscription and object to a material change, you can cancel it as described in section 4.2.
You may stop using Epoch at any time by deleting it. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 9, 10 and 11 survive termination.
EPOCH IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT EPOCH WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY ALERT WILL BE DELIVERED AT A PARTICULAR TIME OR AT ALL, OR THAT PRESET CATALOG INFORMATION IS ACCURATE OR CURRENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, WORK OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE EPOCH — INCLUDING ANY MISSED, LATE OR UNDELIVERED ALERT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO EPOCH IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR IT IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD 50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR LIABILITIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS ANY RIGHT YOU HAVE THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED, INCLUDING STATUTORY CONSUMER RIGHTS.
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure you are entitled to a replacement or a refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods or services remedied if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in sections 9 or 10 excludes, restricts or modifies those rights. Where our liability may lawfully be limited, it is limited as set out above.
Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no responsibility for Epoch. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Epoch. If Epoch fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Epoch. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
