Privacy Policy

1. Who this policy is from

Epoch — AI Reset Timer ("Epoch", "the app") is published by Shaping Edge ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when you use the app. It applies to the iOS app only.

2. What Epoch stores on your device

Everything you create in Epoch is written to local storage on your iPhone, inside the app's own container. It is shared with Epoch's widgets and Live Activities so they can draw the same timers, and with nothing else.

None of this is transmitted to us. We operate no server that receives it, and we cannot read it. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

3. What Epoch does not do

• No account and no sign-in. You are never asked for a name, email address or password.
• No analytics or crash-reporting SDK. Epoch contains no analytics framework and reports no usage or events to us.
• No advertising and no tracking. Epoch does not use the advertising identifier, does not build a profile of you, and does not track you across apps or websites.
• No monitoring of AI tools. Epoch does not and technically cannot observe your activity, quota, credits or account status in any AI product. Every timer is one you set yourself, derived from a schedule you chose, or started by a Shortcut you ran.
• No connection to AI providers. Vendor and product names in Epoch are static text in a data file. Nothing is ever sent to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Cursor or anyone else.
• No location, contacts, photos, microphone or health data. Epoch does not request access to any of these.

4. What leaves your device

4.1 Purchases

If you buy Epoch Pro, the payment is processed by Apple. We never see or receive your payment details, and Apple's handling of the transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

To know whether your purchase is active — including on a new device, or after a subscription renews or lapses — Epoch uses RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives:

• A randomly generated, anonymous identifier for your installation. We do not link it to your name, email address or Apple Account, and we never ask you for those.
• Transaction information from Apple: which product was bought, when, whether a trial is running, and whether the subscription is active, expired or refunded.
• Basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, app version and country/storefront.

RevenueCat processes this on our behalf so the app can answer one question: is Pro active. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

4.2 The preset catalog

Epoch ships with a list of common AI tools and their typical reset schedules, and occasionally downloads an updated copy of that list — a single public file, hosted as a static page. This is an ordinary web request: it sends no information about you, your timers or your purchases. As with any web request, the host may record standard server information such as your IP address and the time of the request. If the download fails, Epoch keeps using the copy it already has and shows no error.

4.3 Nothing else

There is no other network activity in Epoch. Notifications and alarms are scheduled locally by iOS on your device; their contents are never sent anywhere.

5. Notifications, alarms and widgets

If you allow notifications, Epoch schedules them on your device through iOS so you are told when a timer reaches zero. If you enable alarms, Epoch uses Apple's AlarmKit, which can sound through silent mode. Both are handled entirely by iOS. Widgets, Lock Screen views, Live Activities and Control Center read your timers from the app's local storage.

6. Children

Epoch is a productivity tool for people who work with AI development tools. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Epoch requires no account and collects no personal information, it holds nothing to delete.

7. Keeping and deleting information

• On your device: deleting Epoch removes your timers and settings permanently. We hold no backup, because we never had a copy.
• Purchase records: Apple and RevenueCat retain transaction records under their own policies and legal obligations. We cannot delete a record of a purchase, as it is also a financial record.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because Epoch has no account system, we hold no information that identifies you by name, and in most cases we will not be able to connect a request to a particular person without additional information from you.

We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not engage in targeted advertising.

9. International transfers

Our service providers may process the limited information described in section 4 on servers outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, they rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. Material changes to what leaves your device will be described here rather than made quietly.
