BioMap — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Rudra Jikadra ("we", "us") governing your use of the BioMap iOS app ("BioMap" or the "app"). By downloading or using BioMap, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What BioMap is

BioMap is a personal record-keeping and visualisation tool. It lets you store your own blood-test results, organise them by profile and date, view trends and reference ranges, and export reports. BioMap displays and organises information you provide.

2. Medical disclaimer — please read

BioMap is for informational purposes only and is not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Reference ranges and status labels describe where a value sits relative to the range printed on your own lab report — they are not a clinical assessment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional about your results and before making any health decision. Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something shown in BioMap. If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact your doctor or emergency services immediately.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter or upload.
You must have the right to use any report you upload, and to add data for any other person whose profile you create (for example, a family member).
You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it, or use it in violation of any law.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

BioMap offers a free tier and a paid "BioMap Pro" upgrade. Pro is available as:

Monthly and Annual auto-renewable subscriptions; and
A one-time Lifetime purchase (non-consumable).

Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. Key terms:

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You can manage or cancel a subscription, and view renewal information, in your device's App Store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current period.
The Lifetime purchase is a single payment that unlocks Pro features on your Apple Account and can be restored on your devices.
Free-tier limits (such as a limited number of report uploads and profiles) apply until you upgrade. Manually entered results and core viewing features remain available on the free tier.
Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store terms; we cannot directly process App Store refunds.

5. Third-party services

BioMap relies on Apple (iCloud, App Store, payments), Google (optional AI reading of uploaded reports, only with your consent), and RevenueCat (subscription management). Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Intellectual property

BioMap and its content (excluding your own data) are owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app, including any automated reading of reports, will be accurate, error-free, or uninterrupted. You are responsible for verifying any value before relying on it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any health decisions made in reliance on the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law — including the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply in addition to these Terms.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any non-excludable rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
