BioMap — Support

Last updated: 27 July 2026

BioMap is a private blood-test tracker for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and Vision. This page answers the most common questions. For anything else, email us directly — a real person reads every message.

Getting started

How do I add my first blood test?

From the Add Data tab, choose one of: upload a PDF, scan a paper report with your camera, upload photos of a report, import a CSV, or enter values manually. For PDF/scan/photo uploads, BioMap reads the biomarker table for you and shows an editable review screen before anything is saved — check the extracted values against your report and correct anything before confirming.

BioMap read a value incorrectly from my report — what do I do?

Every upload stops at an editable review screen before saving, specifically so you can fix a misread value, unit, or date before it's added to your record. If a report consistently extracts poorly (for example, a scan photographed at an angle, or a low-resolution PDF), try re-uploading a clearer copy — sharper lighting and a flat, well-lit scan give the best results. If a particular lab's report format keeps giving you trouble, email us a description (not the report itself) and we'll look at improving recognition for that format.

How do I add a family member?

Go to the profile switcher and choose to add a new profile. Each profile is fully separate — its own name, photo, sex, colour, blood type, and an optional free-text note for long-term conditions or medications — and profiles can be reordered so the people you check most sit first. Free accounts include 2 profiles; BioMap Pro raises that to 15.

How do I merge multiple reports from the same visit?

If one lab visit produced several separate PDFs or scans, you can combine them into a single record from the report's detail view. Merging does not use up your free upload count.

Free vs. Pro

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free accounts get 2 profiles and 3 lifetime report uploads. Everything else — the full Timeline and notes, report merging, reminders, Apple Health import, the Face ID/Touch ID app lock, manual entry, and exporting the BioMap Report PDF — is free for everyone. BioMap Pro raises the profile limit to 15, removes the upload limit, and adds the ability to export your original uploaded reports. Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase — all three unlock the same Pro features.

I upgraded to Pro but the app still shows Free limits

Try Settings → Restore Purchases first — this re-syncs your purchase with the App Store and fixes the vast majority of cases (common after a device restore or reinstall). If it still doesn't resolve, email us the email address associated with your Apple Account and roughly when you purchased, and we'll investigate.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple, not BioMap. On your device: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → BioMap. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro access until the current period ends. The Lifetime option is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel.

Privacy & data

Where is my health data stored?

In your own private Apple iCloud account, not on a BioMap server — we can't see or access it. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.

My data isn't showing up on my other device

BioMap syncs through your private iCloud account, so check: you're signed into the same Apple Account on both devices, iCloud Drive/BioMap sync is enabled in the Settings app, and both devices have an internet connection. Sync can take a few minutes, especially over cellular. If it's been longer than that, try a moment on Wi-Fi, or email us if it persists.

How do I turn on the Face ID / Touch ID lock?

The app lock is optional and off by default. Turn it on in Settings within the app whenever you'd like an extra layer of privacy.

How do I delete my data?

From Settings within the app you can delete individual reports or profiles, or use "Delete All Profiles & Data" to remove everything. Because your data lives in your own iCloud account, deletion is fully in your control.

Exporting for your doctor

How do I share my results with my doctor?

From a profile, export a BioMap Report — a clean, severity-sorted PDF summary, free for everyone. BioMap Pro can also export your original uploaded reports, combined into a single file.
