Stackbook · Crypto DCA Tracker
Effective 24 October 2026 · Last updated 24 October 2026
Stackbook has no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking and no advertising. Your journal of buys, sells, transfers, plans and goals is stored on your device and, with Private iCloud sync (on unless you turn it off), in your own iCloud account, which only you can read. We never receive it.
Apart from that sync, which goes straight to Apple's iCloud, the only thing Stackbook sends over the internet is a request for public Bitcoin and Ethereum prices, which carries nothing that identifies you.
Stackbook: Crypto DCA Tracker ("Stackbook", "the app") is published by Shaping Edge ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when you use the app. It applies to the iOS and iPadOS app.
Questions about anything here: shapingedge.apps@gmail.com.
Nothing. We don't run a server for the app, and the app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking code. We don't collect your name, email, device identifiers, location, contacts, usage data or financial information. The App Store label for Stackbook is "Data Not Collected".
Everything you enter stays in the app's storage on your device, protected by iOS data protection:
Stackbook never connects to an exchange, wallet or bank, and never asks for keys, seed phrases, addresses or logins.
To value your holdings, Stackbook requests current and historical Bitcoin and Ethereum prices in your chosen currency from CoinGecko's public API (api.coingecko.com). These requests contain only the coin, the currency and the date range. They carry no account, API key, device identifier or anything you've entered. Like any website, CoinGecko's servers receive your IP address when the request is made; see CoinGecko's privacy policy. Prices are cached on your device.
If you turn on the optional lock, Stackbook asks iOS to confirm it's you. iOS does the check; Stackbook only learns whether it succeeded. Your face, fingerprint and passcode never reach the app or us.
When you export a JSON backup or a CSV file, Stackbook creates the file on your device and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes next (Files, AirDrop, email, another app) is your choice, and that destination's own privacy terms apply. Files you import are read on the device and not sent anywhere.
Private iCloud sync is on unless you turn it off in Settings → iCloud sync. Your journal is then also stored in your own iCloud account's private database, so it stays the same on your iPhone and iPad and comes back if you reinstall the app. Only you can read it: Apple handles that storage under its own privacy policy, and we can't access it. Prices and charts are never synced. Turning sync off stops it from the next time you open the app.
Stackbook isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your data is only on your device and in your own iCloud, so you control it completely. Delete entries in the app; use Settings → Delete data to remove your entries, plans and goals, or everything including your household and settings; or delete the app to remove everything it stored. If iCloud sync is on, those deletions remove the copy in your iCloud too. Backup files you exported are yours to keep or delete.
Stackbook is a personal record-keeping tool. It doesn't buy, sell or hold cryptocurrency, and nothing in it is financial, investment or tax advice.
If the app's handling of information changes, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the new version is released.
